Topic: Federal vs. State Control
Water issues vary greatly across the country, and one-size-fits-all policies don’t work. AAW believes water management decisions should be handled at the state and local level—not dictated by distant federal agencies.
📌 Our Position: AAW supports state and local authority over water rights, allocation, and management. We oppose federal mandates that override regional priorities, impose excessive regulation, or ignore agricultural realities.
💧 Why It Matters: State and local leaders are better equipped to understand the unique water needs of their regions. Empowering them helps protect ag productivity, landowner rights, and community-driven conservation.
