Topic: Wetlands, Conservation & Voluntary Programs
AAW supports conservation practices that work with producers—not against them. We believe in voluntary programs that protect natural resources while respecting private landowners’ rights.
📌 Our Position: AAW supports voluntary, incentive-based conservation programs over mandatory regulations. We advocate for clear wetlands definitions and oppose policies that burden farmers with unclear or overly restrictive land-use rules.
🌿 Why It Matters: Farmers are natural stewards of the land. Voluntary programs help protect water and soil health without compromising food production or landowner autonomy.
